Jen and her daughter 6 year old Avery are going through some tough times. Jen's husband passed away 3 1/2 years ago, and Avery is not coping well. She is seeing a Dr to help her work through things. Jen is doing anything she can think of to bring the sunshine and happiness back to Avery. Ryan is divorced and has a 6 year old daughter Sofia. They have recently moved to town to stay with his aunt, while he decides between two jobs. Through in a Christmas Pageant and you have a quick enjoyable read.

Do you love Christmas stories? I do and this book has two. It is a quick read.
Buffalo Valley is set in North Dakota. Vaughn having retired from the military is headed to his folks home for the holidays. He has accepted a job where his girlfriend works. While visiting his folks, he will also be scouting the new site for the companies big box store. What will happen when he meets and begins to like the people and town the store will be built in? What happens when he meets the mother of the boy he is named after?
Return to Promise (Heart of Texas) is set in Texas. Jane and Cal along with Cal's brother run the family ranch. Jane and Cal have two children, Jane is only working part time as a Doctor. Jane's father has a heart attack and she and the children go to California. The separation is not good for them. Shortly after returning home her father passes away. She and the children end up staying in California. Will Cal fight to save his marriage? Will the one that has set her sights on Cal win?

FOUR-A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth
A prequel to Divergent. A quick read.
This is the story of Four. Going into his childhood and his choosing Dauntless. There are also several chapters at the end from his point of view for Divergent.
This book was good, but I didn't think it was as good as the original three books.

A quick read.
Katie is in the state system. Her father who knows... And her mom is in prison. Katie is a teenager and just trying to fly under the radar until she can get out on her own. Then a couple wants to be her foster parents. She is not sure about this and a little afraid. The director of the home fails to disclose that the couple are a pastor and his wife. Katie feels like she'll be sent back very quickly and vows not to become attached. She puts on her tough girl act, even getting into trouble.
Can she finally learn that someone can be there for her? Can she help them heal?

Grace has moved to the town she spent her childhood summers and where her two childhood friends Bri and Margaux and their families live. She is a lawyer and has helped save a historical part of the small beach town. Throw in an estrangement from her parents and Thanksgiving days away and you have a cute story.
