Remember what it was like during your summers of high school?  Alice and her friends have jobs and the usual boy girl issues.  Alice works for her dad at his music store, that is until he fires her.  He wants her to get more experience in the world of business, as it is different than working for your family.  So, she ends up working in a department store and enjoys it.  Even helping to stop a group shoplifting.  Then after she goes on a long weekend to the beach with her friends she is fired for not getting an ok to go.

What do you do when you find out your husband is cheating on you?  Nichole takes their son and moves out and starts divorce proceedings.  Her mother in law Leanne, having lived with the same thing for most of her marriage does the same thing.  They get apartments in town across the hall from each other.  Leanne has no money worries however Nichole has to watch her budget.  They both meet someone and start adjusting to single life.  There are lots of twists.

SAM'S LETTERS TO JENNIFER by James Patterson

Another fantastic story by James.   Jennifer's grandmother Sam has had a stroke and is in the hospital.  Jennifer goes to stay at the lake house to be near her grandmother.  Once there she finds a letter to her from Sam and a stack of letters.  Sam asks that Jennifer read them just a few at a time.  Sam is telling her life story one that has some unexpected news for Jennifer.  Then of course her neighbor is a childhood friend and they reconnect.

Kinda a wild story that is set in the Florida Keys.  Serge is looking for his Mrs Right, he has a friend Coleman who is either drunk or high all the time.  The cops are looking for serial killers. 
It is a story that jumps back and forth and for me it was hard to keep my interest.  The end was surprising though

FINDING HOME-A Hope Springs Novel by Lois Greiman

Casie goes home to a little town in South Dakota to sell her fathers ranch after he passes away.  The ranch is in series disrepair, so she takes time off work to work on getting it ready to sell.  He fiance is a med student who she supports and he gives her a hard time about getting it sold and getting back to work.  While at the ranch she runs into a neighbor who teased her all while growing up, he is a rodeo star home recovering from an accident.  Throw in a couple of town kids and all kinds of animals....what a group.
