This story was kinda slow going for me, couldn't hold me for long.

Matt Royal is a retired lawyer now retired and living on Longboat Key.   He is enjoying living the beach bum life, until bad things start to happen.  Someone attempted to kill his friend Logan.   Then someone try's to kill Matt.  Matts friend Jock comes down to help, he works for a secret Government agency.  The story goes along the week, while the guys try to stay alive and figure out who is trying to kill them.

SOUTHERN LIGHTS by Danielle Steel

A second read of this book, so I could review it.  Enjoyed it, again.

Alexa, an assistant district attorney and her daughter Savannah live in New York City.  Alexa's mother, a judge; also lives in New York City.  Savannah's dad lives in Charleston.  This story has an evil step mother, an investigation into multiple murders, a father and daughter getting to know each other better than twice a year visits.  Savannah is sent to live with her dad after receiving anonymous letters that may have her in danger.  Being uprooted at the end of her senior year.

A quick and enjoyable read.

Two sisters, Anne and Claire have grown up playing in secret hiding places and dealing with family secrets.  They were very close.  After Anne marries she withdraws from her family.  Claire try's to help her and ends up in prison.  Anne never contacted her again.  Years later Grit, Anne's daughter shows up at Claire's.  Is this the start of a new relationship with Anne and her family?  What happened after Anne and the family moved to Denmark?  Can the family heal?

Another fast and easy read by Debbie.

Jo Marie's husband was killed in action in Afghanistan.  She decides to move to a small town Cedar Cove and she bought a B & B.  She has never done anything like this before.  However after viewing the B & B that was for sale she was hooked and it felt right.  Just after the new year she moves in and soon has her first two guests.  Josh who is back because his step father is dying and Abby who is in town for her brothers wedding.  They have have burdens they are carrying.
Will it work out for all of them?

MISSING by Sharon Sala

A quick and fast read.  Wes Holden is a Colonel in the Army Special Ops.  He is home with his wife and small son, and working with the Drs for his PTSD from being held captive. At his checkup he tells his wife to go ahead and go to the commissary.  While at the appt they hear an explosion.  Wes takes off only to discover that a car bomb has destroyed the commissary.  He starts looking for his family only to find out they were killed.  This sends him over the edge.  After a year and no change in his condition he is released to his step brother-someone he has never gotten along with.  Wes had started to come out of his fog, but he choose to pretend so that he could be released.  Once out, he realizes his step-brother is only after his paycheck.  He escapes while the brother is at work and hits the road.  He ends up in a small WV town.  He meets Ally Monroe and her family.  Little did he know there was danger in those hills.  That would call on his training with the Army.
