DEEP FREEZE by Lisa Jackson

An intriguing mystery.  Jenna Hughes was a famous actress who after an accident on the set of her new movie, has quit the business.  She moves with her two daughters to a small town in Oregon.  They live on a ranch.   Jenna and her daughters are adjusting to the non glamorous and slow life there.    Then a body is discovered, which starts a string of things happening.  And, to top it off; it appears Jenna has a stalker.

The book is long, and at times seems to bog down.  There is a sequel.

Another fast and interesting story by James Patterson.
Do you believe in God?  Do you believe in the immaculate conception?  Do you believe in the apocalypse?
In this story, there is famine, drought and polio epidemics all across the world.  There are also 2 young girls, virgins who are pregnant.  Rome and the church get involved investigating all of this.   They send people to check out what is happening, Anne who was a nun and a priest named Justin.   Other priests are called in as well, after having been told about what happened at Fatima many years ago.  Suddenly people are dying, who know about this.   Is it true, will 1 girl deliver Gods baby and the other the baby of Satan?  How can this possibly end?  I can tell you it ended leaving me hanging, with another sequel to be written.  Although, I have not been ale to find at sequel.

CANDY CANE MURDER by Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine and Leslie Meier

You have 3 holiday mysteries in this book.

Candy Cane Murder by Joanne Fluke
You take 3 sisters, a dead Santa and you have a murder to solve.  Hannah and her sisters were going back to try one of her sisters first attempt at baking, cookies.  Along the way they start finding candy canes and follow the trail only to discover Santa was dead.  Since they have helped solve murders in the past they jumped right in to tackle this one.

I enjoyed this story

The Dangers of Candy Canes  by Laura Levine
Jaine Austen is a bit over weight and an underpaid writer.  She also helps to investigate murders.  One of her clients gives her a call for help after being investigated for the murder of one of his clients.  Throw in joining a charity organization that pairs motherless girls with mentors and you have quite a story.

I really did not like this story

Candy Canes of Christmas Past by Leslie Meier
Another Lucy Stone murder mystery, which I really enjoy.
This will go backwards to when Lucy and Bill and Tony first move to Tinkers Cove, Maine.  Bill is trying to refurbish an antique farmhouse.  Lucy is pregnant and trying to meet people.  Lots of disasters and Lucy trying to solve an old murder, lead to a quick story

I enjoyed this story
