PASSING THROUGH PARADISE by Susan Wiggs

An interesting story, but it did not keep my attention all the way through.  You have a widow Sandra Winslow accused of her politician husbands murder.  Her deceased husband Victor was an only child and raised with every advantage.   After her husband dies and she is acquitted of his murder her in laws decide to go after her in civil court.   During this Sandra is living in her family beach house and decides to fix it up to sell.

THE WEDDING GARDEN a Redemption River Story by Linda Goodnight

Ahhhh.   A sweet story, that you don't want to put down.   Lydia Hawkins took in her nephew Sloan, after his mother disappears when he is 12.  Sloan's father is in jail and there is no other family.   Sloan was always the "bad" see of a jail bird father and a missing mother.  All the while growing up, Sloan and Annie Dooley were friends.  The night of prom Sloan leaves and never comes back-Annie is told Sloan was in trouble.  Sloan only returns to Redemption when he learns his aunt is dying.  This story will take you on twists and turns.

WAITING OUT THE STORM by Ruth Logan Herne

Another quick and easy read.  We have Sarah White Fawn Slocum of the terrible Slocums.   She is part Native American.  After her mother died her father could have cared less about her and her half brothers took pleasure in ridiculing her.  Needless to say her self esteem about her appearance was greatly impacted.  But, when her brother-now dead-family needs help, she thinks nothing of stepping in to help.   She never expects to find love-but can she?

This gives a glimpse into the life of a sheep farmer.

This is an easy read and so enjoyable.
